One of the most talked about features Cars.com has created in recent years is the American-Made Index. Twice a year, Kelsey Mays analyzes every new car sold and breaks down sales figures, where the car’s parts are made and where it’s assembled to determine which one is most “American-Made.” This time out, the top two vehicles are an interesting dichotomy of today’s car business.
The Ford F-150 pickup is still No. 1 while the Toyota Camry is No. 2. Surprised? Toyota is one of many import brands to have U.S.-based assembly plants, and there’s a second Toyota on the list as well. See where other cars landed on the American-Made Index here.
