Good Morning America Drives The Strange Green Cars Of The Future [Alternative Energy]

According to Good Morning America green cars are just like you and me, but different. They have funny shapes, they use craaaaazy fuel and they're just a little gay (at least, that's what we think they were going for). The crew from GMA took out an NmG, the grease-powered Bio-Trike and a Tesla for their "green car" morning feature. We don't mind the focus on the more "out there" green vehicles, but we're a bit bummed they overlooked the Volkswagen Jetta TDI, a relatively affordable and practical green solution that the show's heartland audience could theoretically embrace. Not wanting the thought of their upcoming Model S to slip our minds, Tesla has released some new images of their sleek new sedan, that should help to please people unsure whether to go for the sporty coupe or the safe sedan. An official release date is still unclear, but you can bet that it will retail starting at $49,000

You've no doubt seen a number of Tesla Roadster reviews already, including a couple of our own. But we've yet to see the little electric car from Silicon Valley get put through its paces, and we mean really thrashed. Enter OnCars.com, which was given use of Elon Musk's own personal Tesla Roadster with the new v1.5 drivetrain for a couple a days. Host Emile Bouret takes the Tesla to task over a three-part video series that sees the car getting sideways more than once. We can see exactly how much body roll the Roadster exhibits under full load cornering, which isn't much. Bouret does a great job of revealing how the Tesla handles at the limit, and the excellent production quality of each video is only icing on the cake. Check out all three videos after the jump to see the best review yet of the 2009 Tesla Roadster.
